About Hawaii Five-O: The Eighth Season
Broadcast on CBS from the fall of 1975 through the spring of 1976, Season Eight of the popular police drama HAWAII FIVE-O found the series in its prime. By this point roughly two-thirds of the way through its twelve-season run, it had retained many of its key cast members, just prior to the departures that began to occur in the mid-late 1970 and the partial cast overhaul that happened in 1979; such stars as James Mac Arthur (Detective Danny Williams, Kam Fong (Detective Chin Ho Kelly, Harry Endo (Che Fong and Peggy Ryan (Jenny Sherman) were still firmly on board in Season Eight. Narratively, this was the season that found Steve McGarrett involved in a kangaroo court led by Honore Vaschon, hunting down an M.I.A nobleman suspected of homicide, going after a cadre of criminals who have unknowingly stolen a vat of chemicals, and involved in a myriad of other investigations. This set contains all 23 Season Eight episodes as originally broadcast.
