During an investigation in present-day New York, detective Sam Tyler (Jason O'Mara) is struck by a car and knocked unconscious--when he wakes up, it's 1973. Unsure if he's dreaming, time travelling, or stuck in some truly bizarre version of the afterlife, Tyler finds that one thing has remained the same: he's still a police investigator.
